Beacon of Kyiv is an open-source digital art project aimed to raising money for the refugees of the war in Ukraine by auctioning 10,000 NFTs of the Beacon 3D space. Each unique NFT represents one kilometer of light. Using NFT Smart Contracts, every sale and resale of an NFT generates more funds for the cause.
I was approached by Superbright to create a short video to explain the project and how it works. I was provided with some footage of Kyiv and the physical Beacon and a basic 3D model as a starting point, and was given an open brief. I added more detail to the model and animated the scene in various ways. I also broke down the process of buying and selling the NFT's to create two infographics to help explain the user journey. I rewrote the script to make it more concise and easier to digest.
